Our Projects
Rotary Takapuna North believes in developing the next generation of leaders. Our programs help younger leaders build leadership skills, expand education and learn the value of service.We also focus on large community projects that will have a lasting positive impact.
We have funding to raise this coming year of around $50,000 to facilitate the first of what we hope to be an ongoing source of support to stimulate the local desire for tertiary study and achievement.
As part of the 100 Years of Rotary Projects in 2021, Takapuna North Rotary commissioned planter boxes for Sunnynook Primary.
Kiwiharvest is a national food rescue organisation that collects food from supermarkets and delivers them to food banks and social service organisations. Takapuna North Rotary set-up KiwiHarvest for the North Shore community.
Takapuna North Rotary played a major role in starting the Yes Disability Centre on the North Shore.
Takapuna North Rotary makes a difference for youth and invests in their futures. A project up North at Oturu school has seen Takapuna North Rotary help with updating the school following Principal Fraser Smith’s vision.
As part of the Oturu project, members of Takapuna North Rotary went up to give the pool a makeover. Just in time for the summer months coming up.
